Pete Waldmeir, the award-winning Hall of Fame newspaper columnist, has entered the fray.

He is bringing his common sense pragmatism to community service by announcing his candidacy for the Michigan House of Representatives District 1 seat in 2008. Pete serves on the Grosse Pointe Woods City Council and is synonymous with the Goodfellows organization.

In his spare time he delivers Meals on Wheels and serves Mass at St. John Senior Community.
